How the China Visa Process Works
This article explains the steps involved in applying for a China visa, what you are responsible for, and what happens after you submit your passport.
1: Complete the Visa Questionnaire
-
After placing your order, you’ll receive an email with a link to our Swift visa questionnaire
-
Answer all the questions and provide the uploads of the copies of the required documents. Once you submit the questionnaire, this information is sent to Swift to complete the official China visa application on your behalf.
2: Ship Your Passport to Swift
-
Once you have submitted the questionnaire, please ship your passport to our office (only your passport is required to be submitted to the consulate)
-
If you have a valid China visa in an expired passport, include that passport as well
3: Consulate Submission & Processing
-
After Swift receives your passport, Swift submits your passport to the Chinese consulate
*The consulate must approve the online visa application before we can submit your passport. Swift monitors the application status for approval.
-
The consulate processes the visa and stamps it inside your passport
4: Passport Pickup & Return Shipping
-
Swift picks up passports on the consulate’s completion date
-
Your passport is shipped back to you the same day using FedEx
