My Application Is Already in Process — Can Swift Still Help?
Learn whether Swift can assist if your passport or visa application has already been submitted or if you were previously denied.
📍 If Your Passport Application Is Already Submitted
If you have already submitted your passport documents directly to the U.S. government:
-
Swift cannot intervene
-
Swift cannot transfer or take over the application
-
Swift cannot start a second process while one is active
You must wait for the government to complete the current application.
🧾 If Your China Visa Application Is Already Submitted
If you have already submitted a China visa application:
-
Swift cannot complete a second China visa application for you
-
The COVA system does not allow two active applications
However, Swift can:
-
Submit your passport to any of the Chinese consulates in the USA and pick up your passport once completed
-
Provide pickup-only service for the Chicago consulate
🌐 If You Have an Active e-Visa Application
In most cases:
-
Governments do not allow two active e-Visa applications at the same time
-
Swift cannot submit a new e-Visa while another is pending
You must wait for the current application to be decided before starting a new one.
🚫 If You Were Previously Denied a Visa
If you were formally denied a visa by a consulate:
-
Swift cannot change the outcome
-
The consulate’s decision will not change based on who submits the application
A denial means the consulate refused to grant you entry.
⚠️ Denial vs. Rejection
It is important to understand the difference:
-
Denial → The consulate has refused to issue the visa
-
Rejection → The application was incomplete or missing information
If your application was rejected (not denied), you can normally correct and resubmit it.
💡 Important Notes
-
Government and consulate decisions are final
-
Swift cannot override or influence prior decisions
-
Most government organizations will not allow you to have a second application while one is active
If you are unsure about your status, contact Swift before taking further action.
