📍 When Is a Traditional Japan Visa Required?
A traditional Japan visa is required:

When an applicant is not visa-exempt, and

The visa type is not eligible for an e-Visa, or
-
The applicant is not eligible for the Japan tourism e-Visa
Applicants applying for visa types other than tourism must apply through the consulate.
If you are not eligible for the tourism e-Visa, you must apply for a traditional tourist visa at the consulate.
🔁 Can I Apply for a Multiple Entry Japan Visa?
Applicants may request a multiple entry visa.
However:

Multiple entry is not guaranteed

The consulate determines the number of entries granted
If requesting multiple entry:

Complete the Multiple Entry Request Form included in your instructions
Approval is at the discretion of the consulate.

Traditional Japan visa processing is:
